Job Description

A mid-sized Civil Engineering contractor are seeking a Hiring Assistant to join their well-established team based in Leeds.

The Company

The Role

The candidate will be responsible for working with the procurement and buying team.

Typical duties include:

  • Action plan requests that are sent through to the business
  • Liaise with suppliers, while following the purchasing strategy
  • Support the wider team with any additional admin requests
  • Maintain control and keep up to date reports of new hires and live hires
  • Ensure there is continuous correspondence with the suppliers and administer reports accordingly
  • Liaise with the Site Managers and Contracts Managers and issue live report hires on a weekly basis
  • Attend monthly meetings with the Buying department, taking minutes and following up with a report after the meeting
  • Dealing with PO numbers, accounting any issues/damages to equipment/plant hire

 

Candidate Profile

The Candidate

The candidate ideally will have at least 1 years buying experience within a Civil Engineering or Construction environment. Someone with a keen eye for detail and ensuring business relationships with the clients, customers and team are continuously developed
