We are working closely with an industry leading contractor who are in the market for a Senior Draughtsperson (CAD) to join their North West operations on a permanent basis within their Nuclear Division, candidates with a Building Services background will be considered.

This position would see you reporting directly into the Design Manager where your key deliverables would consist of 2D CAD Drawings (all disciplines) and design risk assessments.

Your responsibilities:

•          To create and implement temporary mechanical & electrical building services design solutions.
•          To ensure the integration, technical assurance, compliance, health, safety and sustainability of design and engineering to enable compliant defect free handover for operational service, delivered to programme and budget.
•          Coordination with the Principle Designer and Principle Contractor ensuring regular flow of information to comply with meeting the requirements of CDM
•          Create 2D drawings for all disciplines including Electrical, Mechanical, Ventilation and support solutions.
•          Space coordination, space management and clash avoidance for all disciplines.
•          Support the Design Manager and contribute to design / construction reviews.
•          Ensure design risks are considered and prepare design risk assessments.
•          Maintain personal expertise and knowledge to ensure that the business stream is at the forefront of the industry both technically and in using the latest technologies and standards.

Projects in the pipeline are regional within the North West and the last 3 years have seen an accumulation of repeated business with main contractors.
