Coleman James are exclusively recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, working for one of the Norths leading Building Services consultancies.

This role will see you working fully remotely, however you will be part of a team a group of highly experienced building services engineers that are well versed in RIBA stage project delivery, with extensive experience in Education, Residential, Retail, Healthcare, Hotels, Leisure and Commercial projects.

Their success has been built on strong and lengthy relationships with repeat Clients and this has led to their involvement in a series of impressive commissions for a wide-ranging Client base which continues to grow in strength.

The Role:

• Regularly attending sites in around Yorkshire and the Midlands carrying out survey
• Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams
• Author official documents including letters, reports and specifications

• Producing design development, including drawings and calculations

• Advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint

Experience:

• Sound technical knowledge of mechanical building services
• Experience with running projects from conception through to completion including calculations, drawings, specifications, etc
• Accredited Building Services degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND)
• AutoCAD experience (experience with IES modelling and Revit would be an advantage)

• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

• A motivated, self starter who is happy to travel regularly attending site visit
