Job Description
An opportunity has arisen with a very well established M&E Building Services Design Consultancy who are currently looking to strengthen their team in Teesside with a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Main Duties
- To undertake design of Engineering Works
- Assist with the control of the in-house Design Team
- Assist / carry out surveys and prepare reports, estimates, calculations, drawings, specifications for the detailed design of mechanical services in all types of new and existing buildings. This shall include but not be limited to: -
- Heating systems
- Domestic water systems
- Ventilation systems
- Air conditioning systems
- Natural gas systems
- Control systems
- Renewable energy systems and the incorporation of them into differing building types
- Assist with the monitoring of site works
- To supervise the work of junior and technical staff
- Liaison with the Client as appropriate and other members of the design team
- Represent the business at Client meetings as necessary and to demonstrate the required level of professional expertise.
- Assist with the development of the practice
- Other such duties that may be allocated to you in the interests of the practice
Key Skills Applicable
- I.T. Literacy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of Hevacomp & IES would be an advantage.
- Demonstrable knowledge of relevant application software
- Ability to master quickly additional application software as required by the job
