Our client is looking for a Senior Planner to join their Northern team in Leeds focussing on high profile, technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across multiple sectors.
My client a leading Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services provider, specialising in the design and installation of building services and infrastructure solutions.

About the role:
Senior Planners are a valuable part of their business, and the role will encompass ensuring adequacy of the planning and programming of projects. Whilst providing functional leadership and following company procedures and project requirements to allow proper management and commercial protection to be achieved.
As our Senior Planner you will:
- Work with the site team and main contractor to ensure the projects have fully integrated programmes sequenced in the correct manner to allow the successful completion of the project
- Thoroughly study specifications, drawings and relevant contract documents/ correspondence in conjunction with engineers and surveyors to ensure adequacy of the planning and programming of projects
- Carry out regular reporting on projects to allow the site team to understand the programme position in relation to progress
- Liaise with the project team to ensure progress reports, progress percentages and drop-down programmes, are produced and issued in accordance with best practices, company procedures and project requirements to allow proper management and commercial protection to be achieved
Desirables:
- Asta or P6 qualifications/ experience
- Familiar with NEC & JCT forms of contracts
- Understanding of sequencing of programs and how MEP fits into the construction process

They are looking for a qualified Senior Planner with experience of working on projects across a diverse range of sectors and will ideally have an advanced level in Asta Power Project. Candidates with backgrounds in Rail, Construction, Oil & Gas and Power will also be accepted.
