A NE & Yorkshire based main contractor are seeking to appoint a permanent Quantity Surveyor based in Leeds or the surrounding areas, to support on the commercial side of the business across a range of build projects, focused across the commercial, education, retail and industrial sectors. The client value culture, discipline, growth and people within their business and are looking for individuals who follow these aspects in their career. Their current projects they have on across North & West Yorkshire range between 3 - 5 years worth of work, while also tendering for a range more during this time. This is a permanent position and they are looking for someone to start ASAP. Salary negotiable depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Produce commercial reports both internally and external to the business
• Dealing with the procurement of subcontractors, managing reviews and conscientiously reviewing costs and budgets for packages on a range of construction sites
• Ensure the timely receipt of quotations for materials, equipment and sub-contract works and subsequently undertake commercial assessment of quotes received
• Ensure the timely placement of orders on commercially advantageous terms to facilitate project delivery and ensure business objectives are met.
• Responsible for ensuring the recovery of the costs/value and time associated with change from clients to allow agreement of final accounts.
• Liaising with external and internal teams to the business
• Regular reports

Requirements:

• Ability to commute (occasionally visiting local sites working from site office to main office each week)
• Right to Work
• Experience of working on commercial, education, retail or industrial sectors, ranging between small to large values
• Procurement of subcontractors, covering multiple packages
