Job Description
A Yorkshire based main contractor, with over 100 year's of experience in building contemporary housing across Yorkshire & the Humber and throughout the UK are seeking to appoint a Regional Buyer to work out of their office in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. They're a family owned business, with a big focus on culture, development, trust and promoting values & individualism toward their team who join them, and value anyone who shares in that same vision. The ideal candidate will have worked on a range of housing developments before, for a main contractor or client, however are open to candidates with a background in other aspects of construction and build. This is a permanent position and are looking for someone to start ASAP, and the role is also open to hybrid working patterns.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement development from start to finish on a range of construction projects based within the region
- Management of group subcontractors regarding any buying of materials and plant on occasion
- Supporting Site Manager's and operatives on sites in regards to buying purchasing across the region
- Procurement of all sites SLA's
- Liaising with internal and external teams
- Responsible for contract documentation & new product set ups
- Design & implementation of tenders
Candidate Profile
Requirements:
- Strong experience of buying in a construction environment ideally
- Dealing with procurement for main & sub contractors
- Knowledge of procurement processes
- Ability to commute
- Right to Work
