Job Description

A main contractor, situated in the North of England, working across the North and the whole UK are currently seeking to appoint 2 Site Engineers on a permanent basis, coming from either a Build, Civils or Water background to work across the region of North & West Yorkshire on a range of commercial and industrial projects, ranging between project values of £1m, up toward £250m. The client are requiring someone who has ideally worked on high value projects, responsible for Site Engineering duties from start to finish. Employing over 95 direct employees and on an estimated annual turnover of roughly £60m, with a direction to increase that by £20m over the next few years.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting out
  • QA
  • Record keeping, interpreting drawings
  • Generate new ideas from an engineering perspective on how things may be done differently, to impact positive outcomes
  • Mapping/Surveying
  • Use of a Total Station to coordinate measurements
  • Supervision of gangs and groundworks/build subcontractors
  • Liaising with the client and senior management

Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • A Valid CSCS
  • Experience of acting as either a Build or Civils Site Engineer, working on commercial projects
  • 10 years experience in an Engineer role (desirable)
  • Right to Work
  • Ability to commute
  • Experience on water projects would be beneficial, however not essential
