Job Description
We are working alongside a privately-owned Building Services consultancy in the North East who are looking for an ambitious and driven Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing office.
Our client is an established consultancy who have been operating for over 20 years and currently employ 60 staff across their 4 offices in Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and Teesside. This role is offering a clear and structured path for progression with support and training across the whole business.

Ensuring that their Engineers are technically strong and well-rounded you will gain exposure to all aspects of the business including business development, commercial management and resourcing.
The Role:
- Undertake lighting calculations and sub-mains cable sizing
- Preparation of electrical services drawings – lighting, small power, data, fire alarm
- Attendance of design and site meetings
- Preparation of specifications
- Results orientated with strong problem solving, technical realisation and coordination skills
Skills/Experience:
- Sound technical knowledge of electrical building services.
- AutoCAD / REVIT familiarity (although not critical)
- Familiar with Amtech/Dialux/Relux/CAD and Microsoft office
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
