Job Description
Finance Manager producing management accounts, analysing and reporting within a Project Environment and managing a small Finance Team reporting to the CFO
Key Activities/Elements
- Heading up finance team inclusive of Purchase Ledger and Accounts Assistant
- Managing cash flow and expenses by monitoring and reporting weekly liquidity
- Defining supplier payments at a weekly Supplier Payment meeting with the Executive Team.
- Producing monthly Management Accounts and associated reporting to tight deadlines
- Balance Sheet analysis on a monthly basis inclusive of Fixed Asset register
- Ensuring IFRS adjustments are relevant and correctly reported
- Ensuring all information is correct and accurate
- Analysing Project margins working with the Project Teams to look at variances and improvements
- Producing monthly Sales Forecast
- Attendance and presenting at various financial meetings
- Variance reporting between BP, forecast and actual
- Leading Budget inputs for the CFO to produce Budgets at a granular level
- Heading up financial audits alongside external auditors ensuring compliance with government regulations and legislation
- Keeping several fix reporting deadlines internally and to the Shareholders
- Communicates relevant issues to related stakeholders in a timely manner
Education level and/or relevant experience(s)
- CIMA or equivalent qualification/experience
- Over 2 years experience in a relevant position
- Strong command of the English language
Knowledge and skills
For the area of Finance candidate demonstrates:
- Proficient understanding and know how in Finance processes
- Effective utilization of recognized planning, analytical or conceptual principles and techniques
- Understanding and applying principles of effective project management
- Ability to apply financial or technical data knowledge to provide sound analyses in order to drive results significantly and support respective management decision
- Understands impact of legislation and law regulations relevant to the function
Other requirements
- Knowledge of SAP and MS Office software package (excellent Excel)
