Job Description

Our client is looking for a Senior Service Engineer to join their growing team, You will be primarily responsible for the management of small projects, reactive repairs, service, maintenance, installation, survey & inspection. The senior engineer will be responsible for the administrative, commercial and procedural support to the FM teams, and will be responsible in the entirety for works for which they are managing.

 

This lead role will bring extensive experience through practice and delivery to drive exemplary facilities management support, assisting the senior management team to deliver the strategy and future aspirations of the department and wider regional capability.

 

Duties will include:

  • Oversee the day-to-day delivery of tasks, liaising with engineers and senior management to ensure support is delivered in a timely, efficient and appropriate manner to meet the needs of the department
  • Support Engineers and wider Field Staff with the production and collation of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental documentation
  • Represent the FM Team in site meetings with client representatives and be the face of the business on site
  • Identify training requirements for self and the FM team
  • Ensuring all paperwork, electronic forms are completed and returned to the office correctly and on time (before departure from site)
  • Plan/schedule preventative and reactive maintenance (Hard & Soft FM) for the site they are responsible for. Respond to urgent maintenance calls and participate in the creation of emergency plans
  • Ability to achieve high first-time fix rates (drive the wider team to achieve 100% FTF)
  • Support & advise other service engineers
  • Assist with the management of the Electronic Maintenance Management System, including receiving work requests, assigning work orders, processing/tracking reports
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with clients and identify further opportunities where possible
  • Support the Engineers in the management of sub-contractors engaged in operating and maintaining systems or services
  • Assist engineers with surveys and the production of quotations and maintenance proposals
  • Assist facilities staff in sourcing parts and materials
  • Be part of the 24Hr Emergency out of hours call out process
  • Undertake other tasks commensurate with the role

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified commercial Gas Engineer
  • CSCS Skill card
  • Ideally DBS certified although this can be carried out upon offer

Duration: Permanent:

Field Based: Door to Door

Hours: Monday to Friday with overtime opportunities

Development: 50/50 hands on / management progressing to full-time Management role
