Job Description

A key client of mine is seeking a Managing QS to join their commercial team on a permanent basis due to growth. My client operates within the construction and residential sectors and work across Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. They're seeking an experienced commercial professional who is currently acting as MQS at present or a Senior QS ready to take the next step in their career.

You will be looking after a team of QS's and be responsible for:

  • Cost reporting and analysis from inception through to site completion
  • Management and payment of subcontractors
  • Procurement of work and sub-contract packages
  • Contracts management (JCT predominantly)
  • Management of the team, including appraisal, mentoring and organising work-load
  • Cost plan in regards to future financial targets

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience of working in a Senior or Managing QS position in the past and have a track record of managing budgets and financial control of projects/contracts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be able to build lasting relationships with clients and stake-holders
