Job Description
We are working alongside an award-winning Design & Build Contractor who have large scale projects all across the UK within Clean Room, Pharmaceutical and Battery Plant sectors. They are currently looking for two Mechanical Project Engineers to oversee and support the Design & Build technical activities on high value M&E projects, to ensure timely delivery of all Design & Build technical output to client and stakeholder satisfaction.

They need a Mechanical Engineer to join their team with a background in HVAC to work on Duct associated services. In this role the engineer will be expected to understand duct work drawings from the fabrication company, read fabrication drawings and oversee £10m (without any plant) worth of HVAC work.
They also are looking to appoint another Mechanical Engineer with a pipefitting background who has a good understanding of pipework commissioning. This engineer will oversee a £13m package focusing on chilled water and pipework.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure disciplines in place for management of estimating and procurement on all Design and Build activities during budgeting, quotation, tendering and post tender phases.
- Develop relationships with customers, end user clients and supply chain partnerships.
- Ensure co-ordination of all design information with site construction team in order to achieve financial targets.
- Knowledge generation of all relevant products including statutory and regulatory developments.
- Attend tender launch and adjudication meetings as required.
- Implement technical innovation, value creation and right first-time delivery in all contracts.
They project you would initially go onto is on a large-scale battery plant in the North East. Our client has won a £90m package on this project where they take care of the clean room side and there is an expected 2 years’ worth of work on this phase, and when the following phase comes there is another 6 years of work available on the same site.
