We are working with a Leading Tier 1 M&E Contractor who are looking for a Planner to join their team in Glasgow, focussing on high profile, technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across multiple sectors.

Planners are essential to our client’s operations and they are therefore an extremely valuable part of their business. Your role would be to ensure the adequacy of the planning and programming of projects. You would also provide leadership in line with company procedure and project requirements to allow for proper management and commercial protection to be achieved.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the site team and main contractor to ensure the projects have fully integrated programmes sequenced in the correct manner to allow for the successful completion of the project.
  • Thoroughly study specifications, drawings and relevant contract documents/ correspondence in conjunction with Engineers and Surveyors to ensure adequacy of the planning and programming of projects.
  • Carry out regular reporting on projects to allow the site team to understand the programme position in relation to progress.
  • Liaise with the Project Team to ensure progress reports, progress percentages and drop-down programmes, are produced and issued in accordance with our client’s Best practice, company procedures and project requirements to allow proper management and commercial protection to be achieved.
