Job Description
Our client is an established Tier 1 M&E Contractor who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Ayrshire focussing on high profile, technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across multiple sectors.
Our client specialises in the design and installation of Building Services and infrastructure solutions. They are looking to speak to commercial candidates with experience in the delivery of projects that include aspects of mechanical, electrical and/or EC&I or process pipework

They currently have 2 live projects in Scotland that include an £80m project as well as a £50m project within the education and pharmaceutical sector which both will run until end of 2028. Following on from this, there is opportunity for exposure to more sectors and large-scale projects, conveying how strong job security is within these positions.
About the Role
Quantity Surveyors are a valuable part of our business, where they take ownership for the development and implementation of all pre and post contract strategies, commercial functions and contract reporting. Quantity Surveyors will have full accountability for their own work packages or projects and continue to work collaboratively with our customers and industry specialists with a firm focus on added value, compliance, commercial viability, and best practice.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Contribute to the project commercial strategies and take ownership for your own subcontract packages, whilst demonstrating an understanding of the implementation of internal and external tender strategies.
- Maximise project cashflow by effective commercial management.
- Contribute to relevant project procurement strategies with particular focus on the issuing of tender enquiries, package reconciliations and production of subcontract orders, whilst working with the Commercial Lead to agree main and subcontract final accounts.
