Job Description

  •          Writing technical and non-technical quality bid responses for the businesses Infrastructure tenders, prequalification’s and general bid submissions. Working in civil engineering sectors including rail, highways, nuclear, power, aviation, marine, water, waste and defence


  •          Interviewing subject matter experts for submission information


  •          Working closely with Bid Management and Business Development to assess, strategise, prepare, and implement bid plan and subsequent bid process including reviews


  •          Creating overall compelling, clear, engaging and high scoring submissions


  •          Working closely with preconstruction departments (estimating, planning, design, commercial, risk) to ensure a collective approach to final submissions


  •          Use of InDesign, Adobe software and MS Word to create quality submission templates, graphics and presentations as required


  •          Working closely with Lead Document Controller to coordinate Client documents, technical queries and final submission uploads


  •          Collation of supporting information and evidence from the business Infrastructure projects

  •          Ensuring submissions take proper account of up to date Group policies, standards and procedures as well as up to date industry best practice

Overall Purpose of The Role

A dynamic, articulate, organised individual is required to join our submissions team. This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent all-round communicator to play a central role in growing Infrastructure business.


  •          To coordinate Client facing tender submissions, prequalification’s and general bid submissions, ensuring they are submitted on time


  •          Coordinate all parties involved in the bid process to ensure everyone is aware of the level of contribution expected of them and deadlines


  •          To grow business turnover through work winning


  •          To increase the Infrastructure portfolio in the market and overall reputation of the business


  •          To continually improve quality submission scores, processes and added value, working closely with the wider submissions team


Key Tasks and accountabilities

·       Produce timely quality submissions

·       Coordinate colleagues and stakeholders according to submission deadlines

·       Research and develop a true understanding on key Client drivers and internal capabilities and best practice

        The flexibility to work outside normal office hours as may be required from time-to-time




Candidate Profile


·       Previous bidding experience, working to deadlines

·       IT skills using Microsoft and Adobe Software

·       Confident and enthusiastic about work winning success

·       Good communicator, both verbal and written - regarding written grammar, vocabulary, spelling and punctuation

·       Ability to influence and persuade others

·       High level of attention to detail




·        Experience in bidding in the civil engineering field

·        Capacity to design and draw up graphics for submissions and presentations

·       Capability to develop winning strategy for opportunities

         Degree educated or equivalent
