‘An exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering multi-discipline Civil/Rail projects’

The Project

A busy and fast paced project environment with an expansive portfolio of civils projects underway including a line side rail civils contracts, bridges and structures renewals, large structural installations including new bridges, Access for All (AFA) schemes and general civils works.

The Role

As a Project Manager you will be directly responsible for the daily management of various rail and civil engineering projects within the portfolio around the Midlands region. Works will include bridge demolitions and re-constructions, footbridges, highway and accommodation bridges, parapet extensions, compounds & lineside civils, troughing and fencing. 

Day to day responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Involvement/input in projects at all stages from pre-qualifying and tendering through to completion.
• Delivery of the contract within programme and budget.
• Control and management of sub contract resources to the highest levels of safety, quality and efficiency.
• The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.
• Ensuring that, in conjunction with the Project Delivery Team, changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.
• The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Framework Manager.
• To identify business development opportunities.

 
Requirements

To excel in this role, you will have previous experience as a Project Manager in a rail and civil engineering contracting environment.

• Degree / HNC or HND in civil engineering
• PTS / SMSTS
• Experience as a Project Manager in a rail contracting environment.
• Experience in rail working on civils associated projects 

The Remuneration

• £60,000 - £65,000 PA
