A nationwide main contractor are currently looking for a Site Engineer to work on a large new build commercial project located in Hertfordshire on a freelance basis for 2 months, but likely will extend depending on work demand. The ideal candidate will have had experience acting as a Site Engineer for the main contractor, dealing with QA and inspections of carried out work. This is a freelance opportunity, and are looking for someone to start ASAP.

Responsibilities:

• Checking of setting out
• QA
• Reading and interpreting drawings
• Supervision of subcontractors on the groundworks packages
• Checking test results for stabilisation
• Regular reports

Requirements:

• A Valid CSCS
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Efficient in QA
• Experience of acting as Site Engineer on commercial builds, for the main contractor
