Our client is an established and leading M&E Contractor who are looking for a Technical Manager with a Mechanical Design background to join their Northern Pre-Construction team, focussing on technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across multiple sectors.

The role can be based from any Northern Regional office across the North East, North West or Yorkshire.

About the Role:

Technical Managers are a valuable part of their business, and the role will encompass both work winning and the delivery of live projects whilst providing strong functional leadership and design resource on projects in the area from securing the tender through to completion.

As Technical Manager – Design into Estimating - you will:

•          Be accountable for design allocated bids & projects, ensuring that missing elements of design are suitably filled and are able to be taken off accurately.
•          Authoring of Contractors Proposals with wider Estimating team
•          Technically reviewing tenders and managing design risk & opportunities with a robust and transparent approach.
•          Input into derogations and qualifications within bids to manage risk and opportunity.
•          Technical coaching and development of Estimators and junior staff
