Job Description

Working as part of the site operations team you will be expected to take a proactive role in the maintenance of the building assets through planned maintenance, compliance and reactive requests.

As a multi-skilled Engineer you will be key to the effective and continuous availability of all services associated with buildings within the portfolio. With a trade bias in Electrical, you will provide expertise to the Contract Supervisor and Contract Manager in maintaining and fault finding of various assets.

Duties will include:

· To ensure site Emergency Lighting Systems are operational and maintained to industry standards.

· Ensure the PPM’s are carried out in a high calibre manner and on time, adhering to specific contract KPI/SLA’s.

· To carry out day-to-day maintenance and reactive issues relating to all equipment and assets.

· Compliance with and record keeping to ISO 9001/14001 Quality Management Systems.

· Complete any necessary paperwork timeously and comprehensively and feedback. Use of a PDA will be required.

· Carry out electrical fault identification/rectification and escalation when required on various systems and plant across site.

· Installation and modification of site services as required.

· Where necessary supervision of Specialist Service Contractors, completing inductions and issuing of authority to work / permit to work as per QHSE procedures.

· Maintain effective communication to the Contract Supervisor and the Contract Manager including plant status, isolations, issues arising, ongoing works and standards of housekeeping.

· Ensure any parts required are clearly and accurately stated and any difficulties encountered on engineering activities are reported to the Contract Supervisor and Contract Manager.

· Plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas etc. are kept to the highest level of housekeeping.

· Company vehicles, tools and equipment to be maintained to the highest standard; any loss or damages to be reported immediately.

Operation and trouble shooting for the following:

· Emergency Lighting

· Air Handling Units and all other ventilation services including fans, motors, ductwork etc

· Domestic hot and cold-water services and associated pipework, valves and expansion vessels.

· Pumps, valves and pipework.

· Building fabric - first call response for leaks, blockages.

· Building Management Systems (BMS)

Personal qualities

· Building Services Industry experience.

· C&G qualified or equivalent in electrical engineering.

· 18th Edition & Test & Inspection

· Demonstrate a good understanding and be technically competent in all building services, in particular water hygiene including L8 compliance, vented and unvented pressure systems.

· Full clean driving license.

· IPAF competence.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.

· Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.

· Demonstrate a willingness to attend on and off site training for plant and systems as they are installed. This may require nights away from home.

· Reliable and conscientious.

· Individuals who can demonstrate commitment and technical competence; but do not meet all the requirements may be considered subject to client approval
