Utilities Contracts Manager


A Contracts Manager with a background in utilities is required by a national contractor to manage multiple projects nationwide.


The Company

The company develop and maintain infrastructure across the UK, specialising in utilities, predominantly power and telecoms, and civil engineering.

The Role

The candidate will have full autonomy for projects totalling £8-10m per annum. List of duties will include:

  • Responsible for three direct reports, and an overall team of fifty.
  • Working closely with the Quantity Surveyor and an understanding of how projects are priced to ensure the commercial success of projects
  • Regular client liaison, with key clients who include infrastructure providers, developers and principal contractors.
  • Driving a positive and compliant HSE culture on site.
  • Responsible for site documentation including RAMS and client specific compliance.
  • Management and auditing of labour supply chain.

This role includes national travel, therefore applicants must able to accommodate this.

The Candidate

The candidate must be an experienced Contracts Manager, with experience managing Utilities (ideally power and telecoms) projects up to £2m, within the water industry.

Applicants must have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal and be able to organise and prioritise a diverse workload.
